DURING CATALYTIC DEW AXING OF PARAFFINIC HYDROCARBONS, THE EXOTHERMIC CATALYTIC DEW AXING REACTION IS MODERATED BY SEPARATING AND COOLING A HEAVY DEWAXATE HAVING AN INITIAL BOILING POINT OF AT LEAST 426.70OC+(800OF+), AND RECYCLING IT BACK INTO THE DEWAXING ZONE AS QUENCH LIQUID. THE HEAVY DEWAXATE REACTS VERY LITTLE, IF AT ALL, WITH THE HYDROGEN IN THE DEWAXING ZONE.
