<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The device (7) has a plate for mounting the device on a firearm (1), and a receiving unit for receiving a lighting/pointing system (8). The system is formed by white light lamp, infrared light lamp, pointing beam or laser beam. A connection unit e.g. weld, connects the receiving unit to the plate. The plate has a support tab supported against a base of a barrel (3) of the firearm, and a cut cooperating with a fixation unit (5) of a leg (6) of the firearm. An immobilization unit e.g. locking screw, immobilizes the system with respect to the receiving unit. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Device for mounting a lighting and/or pointing system on a firearm (claimed) such as shotgun or military rifle e.g. Saint-Etienne arms factory assault rifle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The device mounts the lighting and/or pointing system on the barrel and not on the cannon of the firearm, thus avoiding degradation of the cannon, and preventing generation of vibration and temperature by the cannon.
