PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary disk where a molten high melting point material such as copper is dropped thereto and scattered by centrifugal force and neither the thermal shock breakage of itself nor the mixing-in of impurities into the melt is brought about and also to provide a powder manufacturing method by a centrifugal atomization method using the rotary disk. SOLUTION: The surface of a heat resistant base material superior in thermal conductivity to ceramics is coated with a thin ceramic film having 0.1 to 100μm film thickness to form the rotary disk, and the centrifugal atomization method is performed using the rotary disk while regulating a contact angle between a molten metal and the thin ceramic film to≤100°.
