PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary apparatus and an oil pump advantageous for securing performance, while securing abrasion resistance, even when a sliding condition is severe. SOLUTION: This oil pump has a base part 1 having an operation chamber 11, and a rotor 3 rotatably arranged in the operation chamber 11. The base part 1 is composed of a plurality of divided bodies 13 and 18. Out of the plurality of divided bodies 13 and 18, at least one divided body 18 (a rear housing) is formed with an aluminum alloy as a base material, and has a sliding opposed surface 180 having a ceramics coating film 185. The ceramics coating film 185 of the sliding opposed surface 180 is Hv500-1100 and 2-8 micrometer in surface roughness, and includes α-alumina and zirconia. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
