PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoreceptor having high durability, suppressing image degradation such as an afterimage due to rise in a residual potential or drop of charges, and stably providing images with high picture quality even in repeated use for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The photoreceptor has the outermost surface layer of a photosensitive layer formed on a conductive support, the outermost surface layer being a protective layer containing fluorocarbon resin fine particles as a solid lubricant, wherein the protective layer contains fluorocarbon resin fine particles of 20 to 60% in a volume fraction and at least one of compounds expressed by general formula (α). In the formula, R represents HC=CH or H<SB>2</SB>C-CH<SB>2</SB>; each of R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>represents a 1-4C alkyl group which may be substituted with an aromatic hydrocarbon group, and may be identical or different from each other, or R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>can be coupled to form a heterocyclic group containing a nitrogen atom; each of Ar<SP>1</SP>and Ar<SP>2</SP>represents a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic cyclic group; each of l and m represents an integer of 0 to 3, however, l and m are not simultaneously 0; and n represents an integer of 1 or 2.
