PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ladle for carrying molten metal which ladle can not only keep the temperature of the molten metal but also can achieve various benefits to be required in carrying the molten metal. SOLUTION: The ladle for carrying molten metal includes: a cylindrical ladle body with a bottom, which ladle body has a refractory heat insulating layer arranged over the whole inner surface, an upward inlet port, and an outlet port for discharging the stored molten metal; an upper lid which can be opened and closed, and has a refractory heat insulating layer arranged over the whole back surface so as to continue to the refractory heat insulating layer of the ladle body when the inlet port of the ladle body has been sealingly closed; and a pouring lid which can be opened and closed, and has a refractory heat insulating layer arranged over the whole back surface so as to continue to the refractory heat insulating layer of the ladle body when the outlet port of the ladle body has been sealingly closed, wherein a plane shape or rod shape heat generating device is buried in the refractory heat insulating layer of the ladle body.
