<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treatment agent which can form a surface treatment film having both of high primary rust-preventive properties (corrosion resistance in bare state) and adhesiveness to a coating (coating substrate suitability) on the surface of an anodized aluminum-based metallic material for a member of an engine for ship propulsion or the like, though containing no hexavalent chromium that has been conventionally used. <P>SOLUTION: The surface treatment agent for the anodized aluminum-based metallic material is an aqueous liquid which includes specified amounts of a Zr ion, a trivalent Cr ion, an Al ion and a biguanide compound respectively, and has a pH of 2.5 to 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
