An hydromechanical variable speed gear comprises output carried planets 4 meshing a sun 5 fast with an input shaft 6 and a ring gear 3 which is geared to an hydraulic vane type motor 14 in closed circuit with an hydraulic vane-type variable displacement pump 15 on the shaft 6. The capacity of the pump 15 is varied by sliding the casing 25 by means of a handle 18. Pressure relief valves 22 and a fluid supply valve are provided. A valve 21 in a bypass circuit permits smooth stopping and starting without adjusting the pump capacity.</p> |
