METHOD AND DEVICE FOR THE TREATMENT OF A SYNGAS

The invention relates to a method and a device for the treatment of a syngas. According to the invention, this method comprises the following steps: a plasma cone (4) is generated from a non-transferred-arc plasma torch (3) having a main axis, this cone having a propagation axis (5) substantially collinear with the main axis of said torch, the latter being mounted on a feed chamber (1); the syngas arrives by at least one input port (7) of the feed chamber (1), this input port (7) being placed downstream of the plasma torch (3); this syngas is fed in so that the stream of syngas at least partly encounters the plasma cone (4), so as to ensure that the syngas and the plasma cone (4) mix; this mixture propagates along an elongate reactor (2) placed downstream of the inlet port (7) in order to convert the syngas into an output gas, the upstream part of this reactor communicating with the feed chamber (1) and having a longitudinal axis substantially collinear with the propagation axis of the plasma cone (4); and the output gas is extracted via an output port (10).
