<p>Disclosed is an online answer database system for ranking answers supplied by user authors in an online database. A first author enters a first answer under a question. The system ranks the answer # I for output under that question. Then a second author enters a second answer under the same question. The second author also enters a bet claiming that her answer is better than the first answer. If first author declines bet, system ranks second answer # 1 for output under question. If first author accepts bet, bet is decided by a judge. The judge enters her decision into system. If judge finds that first author's answer is better than second author's, then first author's answer remains ranked # 1 under question; if judge finds that second author's answer is better, second author's answer replaces first author's answer as #1 ranked answer under question.</p> |
