<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory card, which has a small chip substrate and can reduce the manufacturing cost of a memory card. <P>SOLUTION: The memory card includes a first cover, a second cover, a set of leads, and a memory element. The first cover has a set of openings. The second cover is connected to the first cover to define a storage space. The reads are set in the storage space, with one-side ends thereof being exposed in conformation to the openings to form external terminals. The memory element is also set in the storage space, and includes a chip substrate and at least one functional element electrically connected to the chip substrate, and the chip substrate has a set of conductive pads to be electrically connected to the other end sides of the leads.
