PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data duplication device for improving the reliability of a system using duplication data, and for improving the convenience of a user by achieving the duplication of necessary data in a short time. SOLUTION: This data duplication device is provided with a data duplication processing means for storing a plurality of data to be stored/stored in a duplication source storage device in a duplication destination storage device; and a data designation means for accepting the designation of data of prescribed units to be stored/stored in the duplication source storage device, and the data duplication processing means preferentially duplicates and stores the data of prescribed units whose designation has been accepted by the data designation means in the duplication destination storage device.
