The invention relates to a method of repair for turbomachine blades, in particular for gas turbine blades, with the following steps: a) providing a turbomachine blade that is to be repaired, in particular a gas turbine blade that is to be repaired; b) removing a damaged portion from the turbomachine blade that is to be repaired in the region of an edge of the blade, in particular in the region of a leading edge or a trailing edge of the turbomachine blade that is to be repaired; c) renewing the removed portion by means of build-up welding, preferably laser powder build-up welding.
