PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an organic EL display device that is inexpensive and improves a production yield. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an organic EL display panel includes: a first substrate forming process for forming a display part DYP including a plurality of display pixels, a drawn electrode extending from the display part DYP, and a peeling layer L2 arranged on the drawn electrode on the main surface of a first insulating substrate GL1; a second substrate forming process for forming a film of sealing material L3 on the main surface of a second insulating substrate GL2; a panel forming process for arranging the first insulating substrate GL1 and the second insulating substrate GL1 so that their main surfaces oppose each other and integrating the first substrate and the second substrate into one unit by hardening the sealing material L2; a process for dividing the second insulating substrate GL2 at the boundary between a first region A1 including the display part DYP of the panel and a second region A2 including a region in which the drawn electrode and the peeling layer L2 are arranged; and a process for removing the second insulating substrate GL2 arranged in the second region A2, the sealing material L3, and the peeling layer L2.
