PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-function video recording apparatus capable of speedily and appropriately utilizing video-recorded information, according to the importance or emergency. SOLUTION: A video recording apparatus 1 is equipped with a network adapter 150 for receiving an image transmitted from a camera device 152; a display unit 170 for displaying an image on a display device 171; video-recording and playback processing units 110, 120 for video-recording an image transmitted from the camera device 152; a management unit 160 for managing video-recorded images video-recorded by the video recording and playback processing units 110, 120; a storage unit 140 for storing video-recorded images; and a playback control unit 180, which performs control relating to display and management of video-recorded images, wherein, in a case where a non-confirmed image is stored in the storage unit 140, when initiating a power source, the playback control unit 180 displays a confirmation guidance picture for confirming whether the non-confirmed image is to be displayed or not, between a first option and a second option.
