PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft support structure for a rotary encoder, of which mechanically tolerable rotational frequency can be improved. SOLUTION: In the shaft support structure for a rotary encoder, a hollow encoder shaft 2 is rotatably supported by a rolling bearing 3 to a housing 4 of a rotary encoder 1.
