METHOD OF SEPARATING AND CLEANING OF POST CONSUMER CARPET FACE YARN FROM CARPET BACKING AND YARN PRODUCT PRODUCED THEREFROM

A method for separating and cleaning of a used carpet face yarn from carpet backing and a yarn product produced therefrom are provided to offer enough cleanness and to use a recycled product economically without fatal loss of physical properties of the generated yarn. A method for manufacturing a synthetic fiber composition having a used carpet yarn comprises the following steps of: supplying a shaved face yarn after shaving the used face yarn from a carpet by using a shaving unit; decreasing size of the shaved yarn; removing pollutants in the face yarn by using a mechanical screener; removing the pollutant by using an aqueous solution cleaning process; filtering a melt in the face yarn; and rotating the fiber of the face yarn.
