Described is the obtention of ozonified vegetable oils by a novel process which involves an oxygen enriching agent and an ozone generator able to generate 240 g of ozone per hour, the invention further including a spiral-shaped steel diffuser, a cooling system for recirculating cold water through a steel coil located within the oil during ozonification. The process allows up to 400 kg of ozonified oil to be produced in 80 hrs. The invention also includes the use of the ozonified vegetable oils in the veterinary field as drugs administered by intramammary infusion using intramammary infusion syringes for treating subacute, acute and chronic mastitis in bovine, porcine, equine and caprine cattle, the invention further comprises the use thereof as an agent for the prevention of mastitis which is administered by intramammary infusion as well.
