A portable terminal is provided to transfer force in the second direction different from the first direction in which a user operates an operating member and pressurize a signal input unit by the force, thereby providing a new operation mechanism to the user. A main body comprises a signal input unit(240) which receives a signal as the body is pressurized. A manipulation member(210) is operably arranged along with the first direction of the main body. A force transfer unit(220) is associatedly installed with the manipulation member. And the force transfer unit transfers force caused by manipulation of the manipulation member in the second direction. A pressurizing unit(230) is associatedly formed in the force transfer unit. And the pressurizing unit pressurizes the signal input unit by the force.
