<p>An air-conditioner is provided to prevent excessive current being applied to the compressor of the outdoor unit by sensing two of R, S, and T phase driving current and determining over-current based on the instant peak over-current and the mean value. An air-conditioner comprises a power supply unit(100) supplying R, S, and T phase driving current to an outdoor unit, a switch(110) which applies or cuts off the R, S, and T phase driving current, a current sensing unit(120) outputting first and second instantaneous AC(Alternating Current) corresponding to the two of the driving current, and a control unit(150) which senses first and second DC(Direct Current) output voltage based on the first and second instantaneous AC, determines over-current based on the first and second 2 DC output voltage, and applies or cuts off the R, S, and T phase driving current.</p> |
