METHOD FOR PERFORMING CELL RESELECTION PROCEDURE IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A method for performing a cell reselection procedure in a wireless communication system is provided to adjust cell reselection standards by a cell reselection indicator to reduce a system load and power consumption of a terminal, thereby effectively performing the cell reselection procedure. A terminal checks a priority of a serving cell and an adjacent cell which use different frequency bands(S210). The terminal receiving the priority performs inter-frequency measurement or inter-RAT measurement(S220). If a signal property of the serving cell is lower than a critical value with regard to an adjacent cell of a lower or the same priority than or as the serving cell, the inter-frequency measurement is performed. According to the priority, the terminal performs the cell reselection(S230).
