A dust collector is provided with a dust charging section (12) and a dust collecting section (30). A dust collecting electrode (40) and a high voltage electrode (50) of the dust collecting section (30) are provided with base members (41, 51) having a square lattice structure wherein many vent holes (46, 56) are formed, and protruding members (42, 52) extending to the internal of the vent holes (56, 46) of opposing electrodes (50, 40). Dusts are captured by generating an electrical field between the dust collecting electrode (40) and the high voltage electrode (50).
