PROCESS FOR PREPARING IMIDAPRIL FROM ITS NEW INTERMEDIATE

A manufacturing method of imidapril is provided to manufacture economically and easily the imidapril without low-temperature response and hydrogenation. A manufacturing method of imidapril comprises steps of: condensing a compound indicated as a chemical formula I and a compound indicated as a chemical formula II and producing an intermediate compound indicated to a chemical formula III; and producing finished product indicated to a chemical formula IV by removing 4-methoxybenzyl group from the intermediate compound. The first step is performed by increasing temperature of reactants under presence of inorganic salt. The inorganic salt is potassium carbonate. The second step is performed under acid condition. The acid is hydrochloric acid.
