A plasma display panel is provided to enhance the coating quality and increase the production yield by improving the alignment precision. An upper plate(10) and a lower plate(20) are formed to face each other. A column barrier rib(21a) and a column barrier rib(21b) partitioning off the discharge cells are formed in the lower plate. A supplementary barrier(700) is formed in the lower plate and arranged outside the outermost barrier rib. The fluorescent layer forming apparatus comprises a measuring sensor, a showerhead, and a controller. A showerhead sprays a fluorescent substance(23) onto the groove between the column barrier ribs. The supplementary barrier is formed with the extension direction of the column barrier rib. |
