PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire for a two-wheeled vehicle, achieving superior abrasion resistance as well as gripping force capable of maintaining lateral gripping force even during abrasion by improving the lateral gripping force when the two-wheeled vehicle turnably travels. SOLUTION: A reinforcing belt 16 is arranged inside of the tire radial direction of a tread. A different kind of rubber 20 with its surface exposed to a tread surface and also penetrating in the tire radial direction through the inside of the tread is arranged on each shoulder part 11a of the tread 11, located adjacently to each sidewall 12. The width of the rubber 20, along the tread surface in the tire width direction is set within a range of not less than 6% nor less than 20% of a tread developed width and positioned within a range of not less than 5% nor less than 25% of the tread developed width directed from the tread end 11a of the tread 11, as a boundary with the sidewall 12 toward a tread center. The rubber 20 is formed of a rubber member having a lower dynamic modulus of elasticity than that of a rubber member located adjacently to the side of the tread center. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
