A METHOD FOR REPAIRING THE WINDOW-BASED LEAST SIGNIFICANT BITS DECODING IN THE ROBUST HEADER COMPRESSION

A repairing algorithm is provided when the decompression for the parameter field, such as SN etc, by using the ROHC scheme fails in the communication network in the field of communication technique. After the CRC checkout for the value decompressed by the decompressor fails, the interpretation interval of decoding is tried to shift forward and backward, then decoding is performed in a new interpretation interval. If the new decoded value passes the CRC checkout, the decompressor updates the reference value by the new decompressed value and delivers it to the high layer. By the repairing algorithm, it is avoided that the decompressor sends the negative acknowledgement message, which causes the state of compressor back. The robustness of system is improved, and the compressing efficiency is improved at the same time. The repairing method can be used to repair the decoding of SN, TS and IP-ID in the ROHC compression.
