The exhaust valve (10) has a housing (12) and a valve flap (14), which is attached in the housing in a pivoting manner such that it changes the effective flow cross section of the housing. An actuation shaft (16) is connected with the valve flap such that the swiveling position of the valve flap is adjusted over the shaft. The valve flap and the actuation shaft come into attachment on arresters (28,30) in their end positions. A damping element is provided at the valve flap or at the actuation shaft in the area of the respective arrester.
