Supplying of compressor air may occur by selectively actuating a pressure control device (38) to fluidly connect an inlet (81) of a compressed air subsystem (80) with the compressor (22). An associated machine (10) and engine system (16) include a compressor (22), a flow restriction device (24), a compressed air subsystem (80) and a pressure control device (38) to selectively fluidly connect the compressed air subsystem (80) with the compressor (22) when the flow restriction device (24) is in a relatively more closed configuration.
