PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector securing lighting up an insertion/extraction portion for inserting and extracting a recording medium. SOLUTION: The projector 1 comprises a projector body 2 having an upper housing 21, a DVD player 3 having a lower housing 31, and a light emitting device 4 provided at a nearly center position of the front of the projector 1. The DVD player 3 has a DVD insertion/extraction portion 3 provided at a nearly center part of the front of the lower housing 31. The light emitting device 4 lights up a periphery of the DVD insertion/extraction portion 32 from outside the upper housing 21 and the lower housing 31. Thus by making the light emitting device 4 start lighting, the periphery of the DVD insertion/extraction portion 32 is securely lighted up. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
