PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an image stabilizer becomes large if four guide shafts are used in total to guide the moving frame, causing difficulty in miniaturizing the lens barrel incorporating an image stabilizer. SOLUTION: The image stabilizer has a correction lens 2 to stabilize the image of the lens system, a first movable frame 3 for holding the correction lens 2, a second movable frame 4 for supporting the first movable frame 3 free to move in the first direction Y, a fixed base 5 for movably supporting the second movable frame 4 in the second direction X, a driver for moving the first movable frame 3 in the first direction Y and the second movable frame 4 in the second direction X, and a guide mechanism 7 constituted so that the third guide shaft 38 guides the first movable frame 3 and the second movable frame 4 together.
