<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoding processing apparatus capable of reducing the storable capacity of storage means that stores reference data of a direct prediction mode. <P>SOLUTION: An encoding processing apparatus 1 performs an encoding process to an image signal to output the encoded image signal. The encoding processing apparatus 1 has: a memory for saving parameters 19, storing information for encoding an image region of a current encoding target in a direct prediction mode; an MV derivation part 37, deriving movement information of the image region in the direct prediction mode; an MD processor 34 selecting a prediction mode for encoding the image region of an encoding process target; and a macro-block information determining part 35 determining information required for deriving the movement information of the image region, to which the encoding process has not been carried out in the direct prediction mode from encoding information processed to the image region of the encoding process target in the prediction mode selected by the MD processor 34, and storing only information determined as required in the memory for saving parameters 19. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
