摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system in which a power generation status of a fuel cell can be stabilized when a normal operation is resumed after an intermittent operation. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system is provided with a fuel cell 2, a fuel gas system 4 having a fuel gas supplying passage 22 for making he fuel gas supplied from a fuel gas supply source 21 flow into the fuel cell 2, a variable adjustment valve 26 for making a variable pressure adjustment of gas flowing in the fuel gas supplying passage 22, and a purge valve 29 for exhausting gas from a fuel gas system. Impurities in the fuel gas system 4 are exhausted out through the purge valve 29 after a power generation status is resumed after a suspended power generation status of the fuel cell 2. There is provided a controlling means which, in case an amount of impurities in the fuel gas system 4 in the suspended power generation status exceeds a predetermined amount, controls an open/close operation of the variable adjustment valve 26 so that a pressure of the fuel gas supplied to the fuel cell 2 after the suspended power generation status is shifted to the power generation status can exceed a standard value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
