PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely restrict generation of air hammer regardless of usage conditions. SOLUTION: A spindle 14 is supported in a freely rotating state through air bearings 16, 18 in a housing 12. The spindle 14 is jointed with a motor rotating shaft 44 of an electric motor 38 through a flange 22. A vibration deadening ring 52 is mounted at an edge portion in an axial direction of the motor rotating shaft 44 through a rubber ring 54 so that air hammer accompanying vibration of the spindle 14 is absorbed with the vibration deadening ring 52.
