<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push-down head capable of reducing the height of a discharge container. <P>SOLUTION: The push-down head 4 is fitted to a pump 6 having the stem 62 erected to be pushed down in the upward energizing state and is provided with a head main body 10 having a nozzle 13 and a valve chamber 15 communicating with the outside through the nozzle 13 and formed inside, a connection member 20 interposed between the head main body 10 and the stem 62, a valve member 30 to open and close the nozzle 13 housed in the valve chamber 15 and a transportation mechanism 40 for transporting the valve member 30 in a direction to open the nozzle 13 by pushing down the head main body 10. The connection member 20 is provided with a top plate part 21, a lower tube part 23 extending downward from the upper surface of the top plate part 21 and an upper tube part 24 extending toward the upper side from the upper surface of the top plate part 21 and communicating with respectively the inside of the lower tube part 23 and the valve chamber 15.
