PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorptive resin particle which can be used for an absorptive article hardly causing leakage in every state (a state requiring repetitive water absorption or the like). SOLUTION: The absorptive resin particle comprises a crosslinked polymer (A) including a water-soluble vinyl monomer (a1) and/or a hydrolytic vinyl monomer (a2), and an internal crosslinking agent (b) as essential constituting units, in which (a) the liquid passing rate of normal saline is 50-300 ml/min, (b) the absorption quantity after 1 minute to normal saline is 25-50 g/g, and (c) the water retaining quantity after 1 hour to normal saline is 25-35 g/g. Alternatively, the absorptive resin particle containing the crosslinked polymer (A) has a structure in which a hydrophobic substance (C) is partially or entirely included within the absorptive resin particle, and this structure includes a connection part (RC) including the hydrophobic substance (C) within the absorptive resin particle.
