<p>Intended is to provide a raw tire manufacturing apparatus, which suppresses the poor shaping and frothing of a tire and improves the balance and uniformity of the tire while saving the space and simplifying the facilities. The apparatus comprises an extruder (102) for feeding a second shaping drum (33) with a rubber ribbon (115) just extruded, so that a portion (or a cap layer) of a tread is constituted by spirally winding the rubber ribbon (115) many times on the second shaping drum (33). Therefore, the rubber ribbon (115) is hot and soft when it is wound on the second shaping drum (33). As a result, the rubber ribbon (115) is easily deformed to follow the second shaping drum (33). Unlike the prior art, moreover, no joint portion between the starting and trailing ends exists so that the tread has a uniform thickness in the circumferential direction.</p> |
