PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic bias tire in which the durability of a bead is improved while maintaining productive efficiency by embedding a plurality of layer-wound bead cores into the beads, which are formed by aligning a plurality of steel wires and winding it in layers. SOLUTION: The pneumatic bias tire is manufactured by embedding the plurality of layer-wound bead cores into a pair of beads respectively, wherein the bead core 5a is formed by aligning a plurality of steel wires W and winding it in layers. A sulfur-containing rubber sheet 11 is stuck under the outer peripheral terminal in the steel wire W of the bead core 5a positioning nearest to a bead toe side. The bias tire is characterized by regulating the relationship between a rubber gauge G1 at an outer peripheral terminal position between the steel wires of the first and second layers counted from the peripheral side of the bead core 5a, and a rubber gauge G2 at that position between the steel wires of the second and third layers counted therefrom to be G1/G2≥1.5.
