PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiberboard which can obtain a flooring material excellent in caster resistance and cracking resistance in a simple process and a method for producing the flooring material. SOLUTION: A long fiber mat 1 is impregnated with a thermosetting resin 2. The impregnated mat 1, after being further impregnated with an aqueous emulsion resin 3, is hot press-molded.
