PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic member for a grinder and a grinder using it causing no problems of breakage of a grinding pin due to abrasion of the vicinity of the end of the grinding pin by increasing the thickness of the vicinity of the end of the grinding pin, or defect due to exposure of a fixing part of the ceramic member with a metallic member. SOLUTION: The bottomed cylindrical ceramic member 1 for the grinder for inserting a columnar metallic support member 5 thereinto, is used for grinding the grinding object, formed with a bottomed hole 3 on an extension line of the metallic support member 5 at a bottom end. Formation of the hole 3 at the bottom end allows increase of the thickness of the vicinity of the end of the ceramic member 1 for the grinder within a range of making dense the ceramic, lessens the possibility of exposure of the metallic support member 5, and prevents breakage due to the lowering of the strength of the grinding pin 11 due to abrasion of the exposed metallic support member 5.
