PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and compact lighting system by suppressing illumination light reflected on an object from being out of a prescribed region, suppressing halation, achieving efficient illumination without light amount irregularities, and saving electric power even when a lighting object is deformed or displaced. SOLUTION: The lighting system, makes a cross section of an emission surface 12c of a light guide member 12 mainly comprising a light guide part 12a comprising an optical material such as glass or a transparent resin a recess face (substantially circular arc or paraboloidal), and adheres a diffusion sheet 14 on the emission surface 12c. Light emitted from an LED 2 is incident on the inside of the light guide part 12a from the incident face 12b, reaches the emission surface 12c while straightly advancing the inside of the light guide part 12a or being reflected on the side, and an optical beam reaching the emission surface 12c is diffused with the diffusion sheet 14.
