PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for optimizing a communication command, a program, and a programmable indicator for enabling a user to read memory data by a faster method by taking also communication speed of external connection equipment into account without judging whether request commands can be connected or not by only an address distance when reading the request commands of low level. SOLUTION: In this method for optimizing communication command, the read time without connection 126 is first calculated from "comparison source memory read time 124+ transmission delay time 123+ comparison destination memory read time 125", and next the read time with connection 128 is calculated based on the total communication time of "the request command 119, a response command 120, comparison source data 121, comparison between data 127, and comparison destination data 122" even when reading the request commands of low level without connecting them usually. If the read time with connection 128 is shorter than the read time without connection 126, the request commands are read by connecting them, and in the opposite case, they are read without connecting them.
