PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting structure of an exterior wall material, which enables a shelf and a hanger for being installed outdoors to be easily mounted by means of a connecting rail for connecting upper and lower exterior wall materials together, and which can present an upscale image of an exterior wall by enabling a three-dimensional accent like a lateral groove to be imparted to the exterior wall of a building by a simple structure. SOLUTION: The connecting rail 2 is interposed between an upper end of the lower exterior wall material 1 and a lower end of the upper exterior wall material 1, and the upper and lower exterior wall materials 1 are connected together via the connecting rail 2. A recessed portion 3 opened on an outdoor side is formed throughout its length in the intermediate portion of the connecting rail 2, and a hooking protrusive piece 4 is integrally and protrusively provided on at least either of upper and lower edges of an opening of the recessed portion 3. The recessed portion 3 of the connecting rail 1 is opened on the outdoor side in a state in which the upper and lower exterior wall materials 1 are connected together via the connecting rail 2.
