PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge which enables the prevention of leakage of lubricant and the equal application and supply of the lubricant, and which enables long-term use by enduring high-frequency opening/closing. SOLUTION: This hinge comprises a bracket 4 which has a tubular portion 3 integrally formed at one end of a spline 2 by curling, and a shaft 5 which is pressed into the tubular portion 3 in a relatively rotatable manner. A lubricant reservoir groove 6, which is formed in such a shape that both ends are closed with end walls 6a and 6b, is provided on the inner surface of the tubular portion 3 or the outer peripheral surface of the shaft 5 in such a manner as to obliquely cross an axial direction. The bracket 4 is composed of a high-carbon steel S60C material or a special steel SK material, and the shaft 5 is composed of a carbon steel S45C material for a mechanical structure. The bracket 4 undergoes austempering treatment and electroless nickel plating treatment, and the shaft 5 also undergoes quenching treatment and electroless nickel plating treatment.
