PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color toner which prevents image defects from occurring at low temperature and low humidity, with respect to the color toner containing externally added inorganic particles surface-treated with silicone oil. SOLUTION: The color toner contains a binder resin, a pigment and an external additive, wherein the external additive contains inorganic particles having a particle diameter of 30-100 nm surface-treated with silicone oil having a kinematic viscosity of 20-45 mm<SP>2</SP>/s.
