<p>Alkyl ketazine dyes are stabilized by the presence of poly(vinyl chloride) and/or poly(vinylidene chloride) binder in photothermographic emulsions. The dyes are of the formula <CHEM> wherein R is an alkyl of at least 2 carbon atoms, alkylaryl or alkylcycloalkyl group, and R<1> and R<2> are independently selected form H (with no more than 1 of R<1> and R<2> equal to H), alkyl, alkoxy, aryl and heterocyclic groups.</p> |
