PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and effective method for mixing a liquid with a reagent, the method being suitable for facilitating dissolution of a reagent that is hard to dissolve. SOLUTION: The method of the present invention performs mixing in a liquid thin layer arranged between substantially parallel walls located away from each other at a distance of a capillary tube. The mixing is performed by making the walls move within a plane of the liquid layer, balancing the movement with capillary force produced by the walls in contact with the liquid, and selecting an interface between the liquid layer and the surrounding medium so that the interface functions as an elastic film.
