PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a transmission belt with canvas laminated on the cog surface of a cogged V-belt, specifically a method of manufacturing the transmission belt improving work efficiency in a manufacturing process of a belt made of ethyleneα-olefin rubber inferior in adhesive property. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the cogged V-belt 1 comprises covering the surface of a mold M of cog C shape with strip-like projecting and recessed parts alternately formed, with a cylindrical canvas 5 using extensible yarn as yarn in the circumferential direction of the belt, then laminating a rubber sheet 2 formed of ethylene-α-olefin rubber, carrying out vulcanization while shaping along the cog C shape of the mold M by heating and pressurizing, winding a core body spirally, winding an unvulcanized rubber sheet for a back face and at least one upper cloth, pressuring and heating it from the outer peripheral surface to form a wide vulcanized cogged belt sleeve, and cutting the sleeve in predetermined width along the circumferential direction.
