PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device useful for investigating a cause that deteriorates the quality of power line communication. SOLUTION: The network monitoring device of power line communication can communicate with a PLC modem 10 for high-order connection in the power line communication network composed of a plurality of PLC modems 10-15 through a medium other than a power line. The device comprises a network information acquiring means 1a which communicates with the PLC modem 10 for high-order connection, sequentially acquires connection information between the PLC modem 10 and other PLC modems 11-15 and stores the history, and a display means 1b that has a function for displaying the connection information sequentially acquired as a history for each of the other PLC modems 11-15.
