PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliability improved moisture inspirator/respirator for an oil-filled electric apparatus which prevents loss of tightly-sealing function of an exhaust valve and an intake valve caused by a powder or a chip of the moisture absorbent dropped in a lower chamber of a vessel. SOLUTION: The moisture inspirator/respirator 6 includes: a vessel 7 with its inside partitioned into an upper vessel 709 and a lower vessel 710, and with a moisture absorbent 10 housed in the upper vessel; a vent pipe 8 fixed to a cap plate 703 of the vessel so as to communicate with the upper vessel; and a valve mechanism 9 for respiration to exhaust or to intake in response to the difference between the pressure in the vessel and the external pressure, fixed to the bottom plate of the vessel 7. An air chamber 720 having a downwardly opened concave part is formed to the bottom plate 702 of the vessel 7, and a respiration pipe 11 with its one end opened to the bottom plate 702 side and with the other end opened to the inside of the air chamber 720 is arranged in the lower vessel 710. The valve mechanism 9 for respiration is fixed to the lower surface of the bottom plate 702 in a detachable manner so as to cover the air chamber 720 from below, and the exhaust and the intake are conducted through the air chamber 720 and the respiration pipe 11.
