PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device in which operability is improved in performing game or WEB browsing, mail transmission/reception, and the like, without having to enlarge the apparatus size. SOLUTION: The electronic device 1 is constituted by stacking a first case 3 and a second case 2 so as to freely slide each other, comprising a first state change means for changing the electronic device 1 into a first state (mode 3), by sliding the first case 3 in a predetermined direction with respect to the second case 2 so as to make first operating means 5c, 5d expose; and a second state change means for changing the electronic device 1 into a second state, by sliding the first case 3 in a direction which is different from the predetermined direction, with respect to the second case 2 to expose a second operating means.
